TOBY AWARDS

Ottawa is pleased to announce its continuing program of recognizing excellence in the commercial Real Estate Industry. The prestigious TOBY (the Office Building of the Year) awards are based on the Certificate of Excellence program, recognizing quality in buildings and excellence in property management. Now in its seventh year - the Awards Program's ever evolving criteria continues to "raise the bar" for those participating.

TOBY Awards are awarded to the highest scoring Certificate of Excellence building in the various building categories. Buildings are judged on a number of criteria including property management; maintenance, operating costs, security, life safety, energy conservation, environmental programs; tenant retention, community relations; architectural significance and staff development.

BOMA Ottawa's comprehensive awards program also includes the M. Patrick Gillin President's Award, the Pinnacle Awards, recognizing companies and individuals who have been selected as leaders in the industry; the Earth Award, recognizing significant efforts in dealing with environmental issues; and the Volunteer of the Year Award.
